Between Horizons: Life in Afghanistan’s Central Highlands
A photographic book by Between Horizons Studio
Created during three years of living and working in Afghanistan, Between Horizons brings together documentary photographs from Bamyan, Band-e Amir, Ghor and Daikundi. Through landscapes, cultural heritage, changing seasons and moments of everyday life, the book offers a personal perspective on a region that remains little known to many outside Afghanistan.
The photographs capture both the grandeur of the Central Highlands and the quieter details that give a place its character: the people encountered along the way, traces of history in the landscape, and communities navigating a changing world.
Between Horizons is the first publication from Between Horizons Studio, a creative platform for photography, visual storytelling and future projects exploring people, places and perspectives across different horizons.
